Strawberry Mask

Strawberry Mask

What do we see when we look at some individual? Yes the way they look, isn’t it? A bad skin that is greasy or too dry or that looks unhealthy doesn’t give a good impression. So, all of us want a good and healthy skin. There are so many homemade beauty tips you may use to give your skin that much needed lift. A strawberry mask may be a good idea.

Strawberries are used in stimulating masks as they gently refresh and exfoliate the skin removing impurities, and reduce redness as well as swelling.

Ingredients

  • 4 – 5 very ripe, medium size strawberries
  • 2 tsp heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon honey

What to do

Take some lukewarm water and rinse the strawberries in it. Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. Take a small bowl and mash the fruit with a fork. Add cream and honey and mix well.

Application

First do a patch test before applying all over the face. Some people might find strawberries irritating on the skin. Apply on a small patch of skin to assess the reaction. If it is favorable then go ahead. Apply all over face except the area around the eyes. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse with water.

If you are in a hurry, you may simply make a quick strawberry mask. Quickly mash 3 large strawberries and apply the pulp as a mask and leave it on for 10 minutes. Wash it with rose water. The slightly acidic nature of strawberries leaves the skin sparkling and shining.
