Jennifer Aniston's make-up

Jennifer Aniston's make-up artist has revealed how to recreate her "golden California girl" appearance.

For the premiere of her new comedy, Just Go With It, earlier this week Jennifer impressed beauty experts with her flawless skin and radiant complexion, and the star’s make-up artist Angela Levin was thrilled to help her achieve her trademark girl-next-door look.

"Jennifer looked like a golden California girl at the premiere of Just Go With It," Angela told Us magazine.

According to the expert, gold and brown shades should be applied to the eyes, with darker hues blended into the creases. To really accentuate Jennifer’s bright blue eyes, black eyeliner was applied to the upper and lower lids.

The cheeks were defined using bronzer and pink blush, and lips were kept simple with a nude pink shade.

Angela has also worked with A-list females such as Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, and enjoys working with Jennifer because the star knows what suits her and sticks to it.

On The Road: Makeup Packing Tips

On The Road: Makeup Packing Tips

This is the first edition of my On The Road series, which will cover all my female-oriented travel tips and packing advice, to allow you to still look great on the road, while saving money and traveling light.

When getting ready for a trip, many women -such as myself- face the same challenge: which makeup items should I pack? It seems that every year we face stricter packing regulations, and -particularly for those of us that prefer taking only one bag (be it a small suitcase, backpack, or duffel bag)- the fear of having our lovely make up products confiscated before we board the plane, can strongly influence the amount or the quality of products we take with us.

This is why I decided to put together a little list of make up products that have proven cheap, useful, as well as un-confiscable, -and dare I say necessary- for any trip I pack for.

-Waterproof Mascara I only take one tube of mascara, always waterproof. Why? Just in case. You never know when you will chose to hit the beach at dawn after dancing all night. So best be prepared for anything while wearing waterproof mascara. Plus, if you head to any tropical locations, constantly sweating might make your regular mascara run, and in turn, make you look quite unsightly.

-Light foundation with SPF My favorite is a very small and thin tube of “light” foundation with SPF 40, which also adapts to your skin tone easily. What does this mean? It’s light so you will never look like your makeup is “caked on”, but it still efficiently acts like a foundation should. It has SPF 40, so it protects your face, allowing you to use it everyday if you want: it’s practical, and Mom would definitely approve. Last: it adapts to your skin tone, meaning that when you buy it in “beige”, and after two weeks at the beach your skin tone turns to “medium beige”, you can still use it without looking funny or having to buy a new one to match your newly acquired skin tone. And last, but very important, since it’s light on your skin, it helps you avoid break outs that stress from the road, sweat and grime would easily cause when wearing heavier stuff on your face.

- One Eyeshadow Quad Yes, you can take one of those small boxes with a zillion colors. But trust me, all that any girl typically uses consists of 4 colors: 2 light/natural ones for day looks, and 2 darker ones for night looks. Chances are that during the day you will be so busy running around and enjoying your new destination that you won’t even bother with eyeshadow anyways, so a good-quality little box with 4 will prove more than enough. And, if it isn’t, eyeshadow is something you can easily borrow from any new friends you make at the hostel. I prefer the Lancome eyeshadow quads (they come with a mirror included). Tip: You don’t have money to purchase good eyeshadow? Me neither. I wait for Mom or my aunts to buy expensive products, and then raid the extra “presents” they get for their purchases. I have a lovely Lancome eyeshadow, lip gloss, and lipstick collection thanks to them.

-Kohl Eyeliner I personally prefer the old-school stick of kohl, which I purchase for less than a dollar when I go to places like Turkey, Morocco or Palestine. It makes a great eyeliner, giving you that exotic and sexy look. It’s cheap, simple to use and it’s particularly useful in protecting your eyes from harsh sun rays if you’re out in about in particularly hot climates.

-Moisturizer/Cream I usually take just one small pot or tube of moisturizer, to use for my face, hands and body. I prefer the Nivea 1 oz/30 mL pot for $1.

-Vaseline I take the smallest pocket-sized version. It works great as lip gloss (works as a good base for lipstick too), it’s useful if your lips are chapped, if you put in on your eyelids after applying eyeshadow it gives it a gorgeous “wet” look, or you can put it on your cheekbones after applying blush to make them “glow”, and finally, it also helps you combat any dry skin problems you may have while on the road. Magic in a pot! And for less than $1.

-Concealer/Highlighter I have a perfect small and thin tube that I purchased from E.L.F. for $2, which is a concealer matching my skin tone on one side, and a highlighter on the other. Both help me combat unwanted zits, blemishes or the more commonly found while traveling, under eye circles.

-High Definition Powder Why? Well… I’m not very photogenic otherwise (see pictures in blog link). By wearing this powder, I ensure that I have a 80% Me, with proper make up on. higher probability of obtaining better pictures, including those random “surprise” ones that friends love to take late at night after a few drinks. Basically, this masks small imperfections and has a “soft focus” effect on the skin, making you look better on-screen or on pictures. It’s also very light. This is the secret behind movie or TV stars looking so great all the time on-screen. I get mine from E.L.F, for $6. There are higher quality ones, but I still prefer to save my money for traveling!

-Makeup Remover Make sure to get a good one, so you can still be nice to your skin! Usually, when I go purchase things from Lancome or Clinique, I ask for “samples” of makeup remover. So I always have a “sample” sized make up remover to pack, easily avoiding the packing problems that the bigger containers entail.

Donated Prom Dresses Help Teens in Need

Omaha, NE - The dream of going to prom is now a reality for a group of girls who otherwise couldn't afford to go.

Dresses in red, blue, and green - all up for grabs at a prom dress giveaway Saturday. Style coaches were on hand to help the teens pick out accessories and provide hair and makeup tips. Members of the community and two local bridal stores donated the dresses.

"It means the world to me, if I didn't have this I probably wouldn't have been able to afford a dress this year. Time are really tough right now so this is like the best experience," Rochelle Wilson said.

More than 100 girls participated in the event, which was sponsored by Project Style.

Get that Flawless and Perfect Makeup

Women are very particular when it comes to the way they look. And why wouldn’t they? Hours and hours of preparation is set to be able to give them that well-polished and manicured look. From clothes, accessories, colors and makeup, even the littlest details, are given utmost attention.

Tip #1: Apply Long-wear Mascara that is Water-Proof

If you use the normal kind of mascara, you may notice that you can wash it away easily. But with a water-proof one, you may have to spend extra time with it. Water-proof mascara will not run or ‘melt’ when your lashes become wet which is really good if you want your mascara to last the whole day. Though you may have to spend a few extra minutes removing it, applying it is well worth the time.

Tip #2: Use Lip & Cheek Tint

Women who are naturally pale have problems when their makeup would wear off. They depend on their applied makeup to give their face a little color. Bronzers, blush-on and lip gloss is easily wiped off the face and this is not something that they like. Or when they eat or smoke e-cigs like vaporpro, their gloss would stick on them instead of staying on their lips. A lip and cheek tint will not give you headaches like these. This would tint your skin and can’t be easily removed. You don’t have to keep on re-applying your gloss and blush.

Tip #3: Use a primer

A lot of people are not familiar with foundation primers. Primers are applied on your clean and moisturized face first, before foundation. If you use a primer, this will make the foundation stay on your face longer and it won’t melt as much. Apart from this, it will make it easier for you to apply your foundation and concealer and it glides on your skin smoothly. Apart from the foundation primer, there is also an eye shadow primer or base. This will also help your eye shadow last all through the day or all through the night.

Tip #4: Set it up!

Last but definitely not the least is setting your foundation and concealer in place. By powdering your face, you can make sure that your foundation and concealer will stay put on your face. It will set your whole face and will give you a shine-free look.

Tips like this will help make your makeup last all day even if you eat, smoke vaporpro e-cigarettes and so many others. You don’t have to worry anymore of ruining your picture perfect makeup!

Carnival make-up tips and tricks

Carnival make-up tips and tricks

The glitz and glamour

By Rhea-Simone Auguste rhea.auguste@trinidadexpress.com

When you play mas, does your make-up streak when you start to sweat? Do your applied gems fall off when you start to jump? Does your lipstick rub off on the edge of your disposable cup? There are solutions to all of these problems and a lot of the other make-up challenges you may run into during the season. Fabulust make-up artist Camille Charlerie honed her skills doing make-up for band launches and for masqueraders and she's been keeping track of what works best for the road.

"Bold and bright eye makeup colours are always the rave for Carnival. What I've found works best to make your brights look their brightest, always use an eyeshadow primer and base," she shared.

Love the dramatic look? Charlerie said: "Gems and lashes create all the Carnival drama you would need to finish your costume. But, my advice on this is—please use spirit gum to apply your gems but not to stick your lashes. This is a mistake a lot of people make but there are specific glues for lashes."

"If you're a do-it-yourself person, use either the Ardell brand or a good option is the M.A.C Duo. But when it comes to lashes, I always recommend getting them professionally done as they would probably last longer and it will be less frustrating for you. Also, if you choose to do your own lashes, strips are easier to apply than Individual lashes," she added.

Still on the topic of lashes, Charlerie said coloured lashes are popular during the season and can really add to your overall look.

"If you want just a hint of colour on your lashes or you are not as brave to wear full coloured lashes, a good idea is to layer it with a strip of regular black lashes beneath. And to keep lashes on longer, refrain from using pencil eyeliners around the eyes as the wax from the pencil will loosen the glue on the lashes, gel liner or liquid liner are the best options."

It's not uncommon to see strange tan spots where applied beads were on a masquerader's face on Ash Wednesday morning. To avoid this splotchy look, Charlerie said: "Always use a face primer or foundation with SPF to help protect your skin against the sun. This would help to prevent the tan circles you may see when you remove your gems."

Now on to the main tips, how do you keep a fresh look all day? Charlerie gave this advice: "Caking on foundation will not look right. Instead use a layering technique with your powder and some fix-it spray to keep your look fresh all day long."

And how do you keep your lipstick on your lips all day? "For lips that can stand against your drinking on the road, make sure to line lips and fill in lips with liner as well, use more matte textured liners and lipsticks as these stay in place longer. Also, keep gloss on top of this minimal as the oils from the gloss will help break down the product on your lips and you would lose your lip colour faster."

For Charlerie, 24, the move to Carnival make-up artistry was an easy one. After years of playing around with her own make-up, she decided to follow her passion and get certified as a make-up artist. "When I would go out, the most exciting part of it for me would be in applying my make-up and people would always ask me who did my make-up for me.

As a result, I found myself being hired to do make-up for graduations and other special occasions because people just liked the way I did my own make-up… My mom always said since I was 3 years old I used to steal all her make-up and go into a corner and decorate my face, so I think it was my destiny to become a make-up artist.

One of the first makeup tips you should observe is the importance of finding the the right foundation. It could be the difference between looking as if you have naturally flawless skin or as if you are wearing a mask.

Most women have yellow-based skin. They include most Caucasians and all Asian, Latin and African women. To get that perfectly natural, flawless look they need to wear foundations with a yellow base.

Most foundations on the market however have pink or orange tones. Women wearing these foundations often end up looking artificial, ashy and two-toned. The only true yellow based foundations on the market are manufactured by Sacha Cosmetics.

We also manufacture maximum coverage camouflage foundations. It has awesome coverage, great staying power and is very natural-looking.

After getting your foundation right, the next step is to follow the makeup tips we have provided for you. With a little practice, you will be amazed how easy it is for you to learn to apply your makeup as professional makeup artists.

Makeup should be used to help you look good and feel better. Find your basic makeup essentials to create a radient - looking complexion and then experiment with deifferent colors, textures and cosmetics items to accentuate your features and enhance your face. Improving your appearence will boost your confidence and self esteem.

How to Apply Make up

Because of the difficulties in finding the right foundation color, some makeup experts believe that Brown women should use more than one foundation shade by blending two shades together or by applying different shades to different areas of the face (one shade on the T-zone area and another on forehead, cheeks, and jaw, for example).

So being beautiful has more implication in social life than being just beautiful. If you look good you feel confident about your self and it gets reflected in your lifestyle and attitude. Some women prefer to have their foundations custom-blended. In my opinion, it's often too difficult for women to blend makeup on their own and get consistent color. Custom blending, like that offered by companies like Prescriptives, is a tremendous advance for Brown women because you can leave the store with one bottle that is made just for you. However, the downside is higher cost. If you have not been able to find a color that suits you on your own, consult a cosmetics counter or makeup artist for expert advice.

Steps of Aplying Makeup - Some Makeup Tips

The process of putting on makeup must always start with clean skin. There is no point in putting makeup on skin that already has yester day's makeup on it-first because you will only clog up your pores and hurt your skin, and second because the makeup will cake and blotch and may look strange and unflattering on last night's leftovers. So, please, don't carry your face over from day to day.

If you have the perfect mouth, then you have the option of following your own lip line and not using a pencil to line your lips. Merely brush the lipstick (either with a lipstick brush if you are using a tubelipstick, or with a wand) on your lips. If you want your upper lip to look more protruding, do this with your highlighter: Notice the cleft, or indentation, between your nose andupper lip. Put a lighter foundation or a highlighter there-it reflects light and makes the upper lip look as if it is protruding.

Lipstick provides the final touch to your make-up; without it no look is complete. For a perfect result, you will need a steady hand, some practice, the correct implements and a knowledge of the correcting techniques. A narrow, flat ended brush, a selection of finely sharpened lip pencils, lip gloss and lipstick (either the conventional tube lipstick or the cream type with a sponge-tip applicator). If your lip colour is uneven, then you will need a special lip base or balancer - use a lighter tone on the dark areas and a dark tone on light areas. These balancers also fonn abase for lipstick and help to keep the colour of the lipstick pure and clear.

It is morning. You are awake; you have done your stretch exercises, taken a shower and started your circulation going (thus you have some color in your face). You have gone through your cleansing routine, ending up with your astringent, and have patted your moisturizer gently into your skin. (Remember, that means moisturizing eye cream under and around the eyes, and your facial moisturizer on your face.)

That done, you are ready for the makeup routine. As you are getting used to this routine (and especially as you are reading this) it may seem that it will take forever. Don't be discouraged. It won't. Following are three basic morning makeup routines you can choose from, depending on your life style, your plans for the day and your mood. Both the two- and five-minute routines are easy and require little explanation.

Learn to love your body and you will believe a complete lot better look about yourself. Believe it or not, far more woman are unhappy through their body shape than through their faces-despite the reality that the body is covered up for most of the time. Achieving media-perceived' perfection (a minute dress size) is eventually unachievable for most of us, so rather than wasting time trying to reach unrealistic goals, channel your positive energy into accepting your size and shape, and plan to be the best possible you, rather than a dissimilar you altogether. After all, it is more frequently the quality of our skin, not the quantity (or lack of it) that counts.

The 5 Minute Face Makeup - Whenever you are short of time, concentrate on the skin, eyes and mouth. Find a concealer that suits your skin tone the best inorder to disguise shadows or redness and go on to blend well, using your finger tips. Apply some pressed powder. Use a neutral lipstick and apply on the cheeks, rubbing well to give a natural look. Lastly, apply a coat of mascara and lipstick to highlight your lips.

The 10 Minute Face Makeup - Use a compact powder foundation and then apply a concealer for that even look. apply a neutral blusher all over the eyelids and temples. Apply two coats of mascara. Lastly, apply lipstick to highlight your lips.

In order to put on your makeup in a way that best suits your face, you need to know not only what makeup is and how to apply it, but also what kind of complexion and what shape features you have.

Apply shadow first to the most populated area of the brow to avoid laying down too much color. Finish by combing the brows with a toothbrush. Henna Design

Henna Design

Henna design is often thought of as a temporary and safe alternative to tattooing. Unless taken off by painful or long procedures, tattoos are permanent skin beautifications.

Those who want to have body art for a special occasion or possibly wish to try without branding themselves permanently usually turn to henna designs. But this kind of body art is much more than a momentary way to participate in the revival of tattoos that has taken place in recent years.

Body improvement by making use of henna design has been around since years. In fact, it has played and continues to be an important part of various ceremonies and customs in many cultures all over the world.

In some cultures, henna has also been applied historically for healing or spiritual purposes. Some say that the use of henna originated in India, whereas others claim that it started in North Africa or The Middle East. Tattooing of the feet and hands with henna as a part of death or spiritual rituals has been quite commonplace in many cultures.

In several areas, henna design is utilized as a body embellishment for brides, pregnant women and recently engaged individuals, just to name a few of them. It has been much more than just as a way of enhancement of body in many regions.

One of the reasons it has played such a heavy part in the celebrations and spirituality of many cultures is that henna is not only very safe for the skin, but actually consists of cooling, healing and soothing properties. Basically a form of temporary tattooing, it is carried out without causing any pain to the skin. As henna dyes the skin when it is applied, it obviously causes pain but lesser in comparison to permanent tattooing.

A henna design can be on the skin for a time period ranging from as few as 3 to as many as 8 or more days, depending on the skin’s thickness where the henna is applied.

As it is temporary, artistic, painless, and steeped in cultural traditions, henna design has enjoyed a current revival in popular culture. Many celebrities have tried with it, and it has gained immense popularity with Westerners of all ages. Many go for the traditional art of mehandi or the henna tattooing of the feet and hands.

But henna designs can be found in as many varieties and styles as other forms of tattoos. For some, the practice grasps deep religious and cultural significance. For others, it is a creative, fun and safe way to experiment with self-expression by modification of body.

Different from other cultural traditions, henna design reveals no signs of fading into history, but is in fact likely to turn out to be even more common.

Facial massage to help with baggy and puffy eyes

Facial massage, and especially massage treatment around your eyes, can assist in draining of fluids around your eyes and thereby reducing the puffiness. Although massage can be most beneficial - it must be done correctly, with concentration and not be rushed through.

facial massage baggy puffy eyes

General information on facial massage facial massage baggy puffy eyes

First clean your face well and then use a very light textured oil or cream as massage medium to prevent stretching or stressing this fragile skin.
You might want to look at almond oil, since this oil is wonderfully emollient, without being heavy and greasy. Another oil that you might consider is jojoba oil.

You could also look at massaging with plain aqueous cream, since it is very economical and is also great to work with.
When doing facial massage, please keep your touch SOFT and do not stretch the skin - it must be done gently.
Should you have long hair, tie it away from your face before doing any facial massage to prevent the oil or cream getting into your hair.
When you are finished doing the massage, remove the oil from your eyes by gently washing the area with a very gentle cleanser, or remove the excess oil by blotting it with a tissue.
Make sure to remove excess oil or cream from the corners of your eyes, otherwise, you may land up with eyes that are even more baggy or puffy.

Place the ring finger (because it is not too strong) of each hand into the inner corners of each eye (#1 on the sketch) and press down gently to the count of three seconds, relax and then slide the fingers gently underneath your eyes towards your temples (# 8 on the sketch).
When reaching the temples, gently massage in a circular movement. Slide your fingers back gently to the inner corners of your eyes again and repeat seven times.

Place the tip of your right hand middle finger gently where your nose starts (point # 2) and slide it up and down to the tip of your nose (point # 3) and back 10 times. Then, by using the fingertips of both the middle fingers, gently press towards your face on the point where your cheek and nostrils meet (point # 4).
Release the pressure, and with small circular movements, softly massage all the way up to your temple, following the bone structure under your eyes - taking about 10 seconds to do so. Massage your temples for 5 seconds and then slide your fingers, going back the same way, back to the starting point and repeat the exercise 5 times.

Using Facial Massage for Relaxation and Health

Any type of massage is beneficial to the mind and body. People who receive massage regularly experience the benefits of relaxation and also take advantage of a calming effect. Massage can actually induce the brain to release endorphins, the hormones responsible for the feel good effect. Blood circulation can also be improved through massage, eliminating toxins and increasing the health benefits that come from good blood flow.

Massage is very versatile. Not only can it be applied to the body as a whole, but it can also be confined to a specific area. Techniques such as facial massage can provide targeted results of relaxation and deep muscle stimulation. In fact, facial massage has been studied as a viable anti-aging technique. Massaging facial tissue can stimulate new cell production and encourage the natural sloughing process of the skin. This brings newer and younger cells to the surface, decreasing wrinkling and increasing the elasticity of the skin.
When you receive your first facial massage, you can expect to have your face cleansed first. When the warm water hits the pores, it encourages them to open up and release dirt and oils. This prepares your face for the next step in the process, which is moisturising. Your massage therapist will use the moisturiser suitable for your particular skin type. This not only allows your skin to soften, but also provides a smooth and supple surface for your massage, which decreases friction as the therapist begins.
As the therapist gets into the actual facial massage, the steps are fairly standard.
1. First, your head is cupped by the therapist’s hands. The thumbs will generally rest on your forehead with the fingers sitting on your cheeks. The therapist will then begin massaging the forehead using vertical movements of the thumbs.
2. The massage therapist will then apply pressure to the forehead area. A light touch is used between the eyebrows and the therapist will creep up towards your hairline.
3. The therapist will then move to your temple area, beginning a circular motion that will move down the face, through the cheek area and all the way to your chin.
4. Your massage therapist will then proceed back up toward the top of your face, moving along the cheekbone and ending back at your temples.
5. The therapist finishes by concentrating on the muscles surrounding your mouth and nose, again directing the motion back toward your temples.
You can imagine how relaxing this process can be. A skilled massage therapist will leave you feeling rested and refreshed from your facial massage. Your skin will be softer and more supple, muscles will be relaxed and you will benefit from the anti-aging properties as well.

Moisturizers act as a protective barrier between your skin and the environment.

Although your skin manufactures its own oils, it is usually
removed during the cleansing process.
It is therefore necessary to replenish these natural oils.

A basic moisturizer should contain water and other ingredients
that attract and trap moisture into the skin.

At the end of the day your skin needs to rejuvenate.

At bedtime use a moisturizer that is rich in emollients and which contains
ingredients that are designed to hydrate and revitalize your skin while you sleep.
