Bhringraj Herbal Powders

English name : False Daisy
It is one of the most widely used herb of Ayurveda used in almost all classical Ayurvedic formulations for hair care. It has excellent properties for restoring hair, its natural health through revitalizing hair follicles by stimulating blood circulation which is the prime objective of hair rejuvenating formulations. An oil prepared with amla, bhringraj and sometimes with brahmi is well known in India as Amla Bhringraj oil, which is said to blacken the hair. Plant is rubbed on the gums in toothache and applied with a little oil for relieving headache and with sesame oil in elephantiasis. In Taiwan, entire plant is used as a remedy for the treatment of bleeding, heamoptysis, haematuria and itching, hepatitis, diphtheria and diarrhoea. In China, as a cooling and restorative herb, which supports the mind, nerves, liver and eyes. The leaf extract is considered to be powerful liver tonic, rejuvenative, and especially good for the hair. A black dye obtained from Eclipta alba is also for dyeing hair and tattooing. Eclipta alba also has traditional external uses, like athlete foot, eczema and dermatitis, on the scalp to address hair loss and the leaves have been used in the treatment of scorpion strings. It is used as anti-venom against snakebite in China and Brazil.

Harad fruit is used for hyperlipidemia and digestive disorders, including diarrhea and constipation, as well as indigestion. It is also used orally as a hepatoprotectant and for respiratory conditions, including respiratory tract infections, cough, and sore throat. It is also used orally for dysentery. It is useful in asthma, vomiting, eye diseases, heart diseases, hiccup, etc.

The HARAD fruit is one of the three constituents of the famous Indian preparation Triphala, other two being – Amla (EMBLICA OFFICINALIS) & Bahera (Terminalia Belerica).

It is a large deciduous tree . The extract is derived from the fruits. It is used in coughs and sore throat. Its pulp is used in dropsy, piles and diarrhea. It is also useful in Leprosy, fever and hair care.

Due to its excellent fixative properties, vetiver is used widely in high end perfumes. It is used in herbal cosmetics to give a natural perfume and cooling effect.

Shikakai has been used for hair care in India for centuries The fruit pods, leaves and bark of Acacia Concinna are dried, powdered and made into a paste. While this paste does not produce the normal amount of lather that a regular shampoo would, it is a good cleanser. It has a natural low pH, is extremely mild, and doesn't strip hair of natural oils. Usually no rinse or conditioner is used since shikakai also acts as a detangler. It is also used to combat dandruff.

  • It is currently used in the formulation of some sunscreens. Turmeric paste is used by some Indian women to keep them free of superfluous hair. Its paste gives glow to skin and keeps some harmful bacteria away from the body. It also acts as an excellent anti-scarring agent when mixed with milk and applied on skin.
  • In Ayurvedic medicine, turmeric is thought to have many medicinal properties and many in India use it as a readily available antiseptic for cuts, burns and bruises. Practitioners of Ayurvedic medicine say it has fluoride which is thought to be essential for teeth. It is also used as an antibacterial agent.
  • It is taken in some Asian countries as a dietary supplement, which allegedly helps with stomach problems and other ailments. It is popular as a tea in Okinawa, Japan. It is currently being investigated for possible benefits in Alzheimer's disease, cancer and liver disorders.
  • Turmeric also finds its use in Gardening to Deter ants.

This formula, which contains 43 herbal ingredients as well as clarified butter, sesame oil, sugar cane juice, and honey, was first mentioned in the Charaka Samhita (an ancient Indian book on medicines) as a premium rejuvenative.
