Avoiding Damaged Hair

Avoiding Damaged Hair

There are a lot of reasons why and how our hair can get damaged. In fact it is almost ironic how the products and things we use to beautify our hair and keep in style are what cause hair loss and damaged, weakened hair.

Using hair wax, hair gel, colors, high-lighting, perms, straightening are all ways that in the end damage our hair. It is ok to do these things to a limit and under control as long as you still take very good care of your hair.

In other words, it really matters what and how you deal with your hair once you are home from your night out. It is very important that you regularly wash your hair in order to regulate exfoliation of scalp cells and to remove any leftover chemical products.
Under no circumstances should you go to bed without washing your hair because over night, you hair will definitely get severely damaged. In addition to that you must also know that your hair needs to be nourished like every other part of your body. Hair is no different.
Using the chemically manufactured shampoos and conditioners may be soothing for the head but not for the hair. The best option is to use herbal shampoos as they have conditioning properties in them and will not affect your hair in any sort of negative manner. There are a lot more things you need to be aware of in order to avoid damaging your hair. Dryness and temperature variations largely affect the hair.
When outside during summers, make sure to cover your hair to protect it from the sun. Similarly during winters remember to condition them appropriately to avoid dryness and itching. Even inside your house it is important for you to ensure that it is not too dry or too humid, as extremes of both conditions can affect your hair nourishment.
Having oil massages for your hair is highly recommended because massaging the scalp helps with the blood flow and the oils provide strength and nourishment for the hair. It is good to keep your hair in fashion; however it is more important to keep them healthy.
