Description & History:
Lime is a small tree that produces a small fruit, bitter in taste, green colored and similar to lemon. These fruits have a green fleshy interior. The oil of lime has a crisp, sweet and fresh smell. Found photo-toxic in nature, it should be avoided during pregnancy and prior to exposure to direct sunlight after application. Sailors long at sea were prevented from developing scurvy with the use of lime oil.
