There is nothing wrong with wanting to look your best. However, some people think it takes long hair to look stylish. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is plenty to like about having a short hair style. In fact, once they try it, many women insist on keeping their hair short.

For women, a short hair style can be serious or sassy, sleek or spiky. Sure, you may not be able to have long, flowing braids (I hear they’re not exactly “in”), but other than that, anything goes. For men, a short hair style mainly tells people to take you seriously. But if you like to be wild, you can go with different options. Spikes, a tussled look, or even streaks of color.

Short hair can still make a statement about your individuality (if that’s what you’d like to do).

Can you imagine wearing a thick, woolen hat in the middle of the summer? Well, those with longer hair are doing just about the same thing. Shorter hair can help you to stay much cooler as the temperature climbs in hot weather.

While wanting a new look is one of the primary reasons for having a short hair style, there is an excellent benefit that some people forget: It is very easy to take care of. Think about how long it takes to shampoo long hair, then you have to brush it all out, and drying it becomes a chore in and of itself. Short hair cuts much easier to wash, brush, dry and style. Best of all, even though you don’t have to spend an hour getting it to look good, people will think you did…and you will look and feel great!
