Varicose Free Legs
Varicose veins are the condition of having abnormally dilated or swollen veins in the legs. Women are prone to the development of this condition. Varicose veins are developed by several factors; among some are heredity, pregnancy and age. Regardless of different cause, you can still avoid this condition and enjoy fuller and healthier legs with these simple tips.
1. Always be in good posture, when standing; stand up straight with your relaxing legs.
2. Maintain a normal body weight, avoid malfunction of the circulatory system that would cause pressure of the leg vein.
3. When sitting; feet should be down on the ground, avoiding crossing your legs to decrease leg vein pressure.
4. Have a regular exercise such as walking, jogging, cycling and swimming.
5. Avoid standing in a long period of time. If your job requires you to do so, always use support hose stockings that could help blood pump more efficiently back to the heart.
6. If you’re sitting for a long period, stretch your legs rotate your ankles and reflex your toes while sitting down.
7. Always wear clothes that would not constrain your legs, waist and groin.
8. Avoid too high-heels especially when your job requires you to stand for over long period of time.
9. For strenuous activity that involves your legs and feet, avoid washing with water immediately, allow your legs to rest for a few minutes.
10. When lying down for rest, elevate your legs 6- 12 inches by using pillows or any means to allow the blood in the lower legs to flow back into the heart.
