Shampooing tips - Always use shampoos formulated for your hair type―dry, normal, oily or chemically treated. Egg shampoo is good for dry hair but avoid products which contain alcohol as they will dry out the hair even further.
- Before shampooing, brush hair and scalp to free any knots and to loosen dirt and dead skin Cells.
- Use lukewarm instead of hot water to help in removing any oily residues.
- Wet your hair then work a small amount of shampoo throughout the hair, gently massaging your scalp with the pads of your fingers. Apply the shampoo to the hair by first pouring it into your hand and never directly.
- Apply with the hands and fingers, massage firmly in rotating and circular movements.
- Pay attention to areas where makeup and dirt easily get trapped like the hairline.
- Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. Repeat the process if necessary.
- Blot the hair with a clean towel to remove excess water before conditioning your hair.
- Gently dry the hair with the towel.
- Avoid blow drying as far as possible.
- Shampooing can be done as often (ideally every alternate day) as required to keep the hair clean and healthy, as long as you condition regularly.
- If you shampoo regularly there is no need to lather twice.
